city(s)cape is a play mat that can also be worn as a cape. Inspired by felt boards and ideal city maps of the past, city(s)cape aims to be a tool for social and imaginative play. Through the use of felt cutouts, children can design their own city. It can also be used as a tool for social-emotional learning, using the city as a metaphor for our inner worlds. city(s)cape can also be used as a co-design tool (e.g placemaking and urban planning), encouraging children’s participation in these fields.
