Pombot is an Arduino-powered robot made out of yarn and pompoms. It was created in response to being given a fixed space in the Central Saint Martins Degree Show 2017. Since the space for each student is limited, POMBOT counters that by constantly moving around the studios, taking up no permanent space.
With a GoPro attached to the top of its head and the footage live streamed to an iPad in the exhibition space, mutual viewership is created. Pombot watches the visitors who come to watch the show.
Equipment sponsored by Joux and Jonathan Liu.
Special thanks to Jeremy Keenan, without whom POMBOT will only be able to live in my imagination.
